Favorites
There was certainly so much to like at this space with color and art.
The children's mural collage -
Would love to see something like this. The scene with all the cats and dogs would be just perfect for SRP!
The colorful beaded, hoop installation -
The colorful beaded hoop appeared to have been made by children with strings of rainbow wooden beads tied to the circle. It really drew your eye and filled the space.
Liked the multiple learning approaches tied in to each of the spaces. Not only does it reach out to all types of learners, but definitely offers a family connection.
Minimal signage
This left most of the space really clean, focusing on the exhibits. The scant signage that was placed was easy to see and hit home because it was not competing with others. The layout of the space was done very well meaning not much signage was needed. We think it was about 22,000 sq. ft. will follow up on space
The "guess the bot" game
This is so fantastic - we could definitely do something like this for robot day. They had clues about famous film robots and children (certainly with their parents - all the robots were from older films - but I think that was the idea) and their families could match the robots together. Definitely fostering parent child interaction. Wess also liked
The art
The colorful and creative art was certainly inspiring for young artists.
Wess - the robot track
There was a robot racing track where the child could control a robotic ball to move through a course.
Wess (and me too) - the "Artville space"
LOVED the little felt tree that fruit would cling too, a carpet dirt hillt hat plastic carrots could tuck into, I liked the light bright space (Wess did too, but was just a bit disappointed due to what he had been told about light bright construction previously and then .... seeeing it in person working quite well). That is not the first time we've heard one response about light brights and then .... see them in action in other places. Some day maybe we'll have one ......
Wess LOVES everything robot!
